AAPL – looking for a pull back to the 240-245 area

EUR/USD at the 1.2150 – 1.2120 level

USD/CHF at the 1.1600 – 1.1620 level

CL #F/QM #F(Front Month Crude oil) over the 72.90 area

GC #F/YG #F(Front Month Gold) over the 1231 area

ES #F (Front Month Mini-S&P) over the 1080 area

Trading idea – Traders of the QQQQ/SPY should have a bullish bias this morning. Traders can buy a 5 minute or 15 minute buy setup that holds above the 44.50 area, and follow a 5 minute uptrend to the 46.50 area.

Daily Watch List for 5/21/2010

For today, it’s anyone’s guess. The market is extended down, but nothing is bullish. We do have the 200ma that will often stop a move, at least temporally, but the SPY, is well past that point. If we are going to rally, look for it in the first half hour. Resistance is yesterday’s high in the 45.30 area. The easy play is a large gap in ether direction. A gap down would be considered novice, and could be bought on a 5 minute buy setup. A gap up over yesterday’s high is just playable long. Otherwise, cautiously follow the intraday trend, and look for an early rally, and be ready to short an hourly sell setup.

Trading idea – Traders of the E-minis or the QQQQ/SPY should have a bullish bias this morning. Traders can buy a 5 minute higher low whenever it forms, and follow back to yesterdays high. If we gap, look long as detailed above.

Trading idea – Traders of the E-minis or the QQQQ/SPY should have a bullish bias this morning. Traders can buy a breakout above 47.80 on 5 minute buy setup that holds above yesterday’s high. Aggressive traders can buy a sharp fall to the 47.30 area on a 5 minute buy setup.

For today, support is the 47.30 area, and resistance is yesterday’s high at 47.80. Overall, the market looks higher, but it’s recommended to wait for a breakout and a pullback that holds the top of the range before entering long. The short play is a gap that opens below 47.25.
